By the way…. I don’t make drum videos- playing the drum for the first time wakes it up and i believe this is the drum owners priority! See my YouTube video about it

I made my first drum over 20 years ago and after reading Layne Redmond’s book “When the Women were Drummers” I felt guided to create drums for people to play and connect to the heartbeat of our Earth Mother.
Hides mostly come from within the United Kingdom and are either from culled wild horses/ponies/deer/stags or animals that have naturally died. The hide is a waste product so by using it we are honouring the animal. As a life long vegetarian I’ve wrestled with the ethics for a long time, in the end my calling to make drums and bring us to the heartbeat of our Mother was too strong! I source my materials as ethically as possible, supporting local crafts people.
Deer’s medicine includes gentleness, the ability to listen, grace and appreciation for the beauty of balance, power of gratitude and giving, ability to sacrifice for the higher good, connection to the woodland goddess, alternative paths to a goal. Deer teaches us how powerful it is to have a gentle demeanour, to exert keen observation and sensitivity. Deer’s are in tune with nature and all it comprises. They are sacred carriers of peace and show us how to open our hearts and love unconditionally .Deer teaches us to touch the hearts and minds of wounded beings who are in our lives, to gently nudge them in right direction, with the love that comes from deer.
Rabbit medicine is positive, showing us how to attract love, abundance, health, and a warm, dry burrow. We are guided to move through fear, living by our own wits, receiving hidden teachings and intuitive messages, quick thinking and strengthening intuition.
Indigo represents authority, spirituality and mystery. It also has strong associations with creativity, imagination and wisdom.
The colour Indigo is a mysterious hue that has been symbolic of royalty, wisdom, and introspection for centuries. It can often be seen in branding to evoke a sense of luxury and sophistication, representing high-end products and services. In terms of personality type, individuals with an indigo aura are typically intuitive, independent, visionary, and sensitive.
This royal blue-violet shade also has calming effects on the mind and body, inspiring creativity and promoting focus.
The Rosewood spirit is one of strength and vulnerability that signals a time of inner conflict. The name rosewood was inspired by its sweet rosy scent and deep colour that speaks to our heart. Rosewood is encouraging us to listen to what is tugging deep in our heart. What does our heart want us to hear, to know, to sense? Now is a time to act, based on our heart’s true desire. Vulnerability is an important lesson that rosewood teaches. To some this is seen as a sign of weakness, but being vulnerable is also a sign of true inner strength. Vulnerability, even though it may hurt, does help us to stay openhearted especially when life gets difficult.
Blue Lotus- In the oldest Egyptian cosmogony, the world began when the Sun God Ra (Atum) emerged from a blue water lily growing in a dark pool of nothingness symbolizing chaos (Nun). This blue water lily is a plant that was sacred to Egyptian culture since the earliest dynasties thousands of years ago. Overtime the flower of the blue water lily (Nymphaea caerulea) evolved into a symbol of the cycle of life and death and was featured prominently in tomb motifs of the pharaohs and members of the highest caste, being one of the primary offerings the high ranking dead were decorated with for their journey into the afterlife. Blue lotus flower was used extensively in the religious and healing ceremonies of the high priests of Egypt.
